Dear all APSN Members and Supporters,
The Japanese Society of Nephrology (JSN) held the 62nd Annual Meeting JSN 2019 in Nagoya, Japan. Naoki Kashihara (President of the JSN) and Yukio Yuzawa (Congress president) generously held the APSN/KSN CME courses on June 20 on the day before the annual meeting.
The APSN is active in education and exchange activities and continue to hold CME courses in collaboration with national societies, and the APSN/JSN CME courses matched the major missions of JSN by adding depth to the international exchanges and providing various educational opportunities. The APSN speakers included Sydney Tang (Hong Kong, president-elect of the APSN), Vivek Jha (India, president of the ISN), and Hyeong Cheon Park (Korea). Originally Xueqing Yu (China, chair of the APSN CME committee) also planned to give a talk at the CME course. However, he could not come because of the recent Sichuan earthquake. Tetsuhiro Tanaka (Japan) replaced him and gave an excellent talk.
APSN is co-organizing 3rd APAC AKI and CRRT conference to be held in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia on Oct 11-14, 2019 with the Malaysian Society of Nephrology (Ravindran Visvanathan: Congress chair, Sunita Bavanandan: President of MSN) and CRRT, Inc.
APSN is also endorsing Asian Pacific AKI to/on CKD Summit 2019 to be held in Taipei in conjunction with the Taiwan Society of Nephrology Annual Meeting on Nov 22-24, 2019 (Kuo-Cheng Lu: Congress chair and President of TSN).
The APSN will move on to cater for the needs of the Nephrology community throughout the region, and we treasure your views on how we should further advance nephrology in the Asia Pacific region. If you have any suggestions, please feel free to contact me, any of the Executive and Council or through the Secretariat firstname.lastname@example.org.
