he APSN/KSN 2019 Joint CME course was held on May 24, in Seoul, Korea. This was the second time KSN had Joint CME course with APSN to promote education and international communication for young nephrologists of LMIC/HIC in Asian-Pacific region. The speakers included Masaomi Nangaku (Japan, APSN president), Yong Lim Kim (Korea), Kuo-Cheng Lu (Taiwan, President of TSN), Jae Wook Lee (Korea), Adrian Liew (Singapore, ASPN CME Committee), Jong Ha Park (Korea), Sung Woo Kang (Korea) and Yoshitaka Isaka (Japan). The lecture topics included updates in management of membranous nephropathy, CKD-MBD, ADPKD, nephro-oncology, peritoneal dialysis in diabetics as well as novel therapeutic targets in CKD. The CME course was a huge success and 98 nephrologists and researchers attended this year. Nine young nephrologists nominated by national societies of Asian-Pacific region also attended the Joint CME (Hong Kong 1, Indonesia 2, Malaysia 2, Thailand 2, Pakistan 1, Japan 1). Following this year’s Joint CME, speakers and young nephrologists were all invited to enjoy a welcome party with traditional Korean dinner and have time for some networking.
